On Saturday, Eric sent an email to our case worker to touch base with her. We needed to notify her of my upcoming birthday because my age needs to be changed on our portfolio and on the Covenant Care website (waiting parent list). We also needed to find out when we needed to start updating our paperwork (it's been almost a year since our home study was completed).
We received a response email from our case worker on Monday. She said that she will be contacting the Macon office about my age change. In reply to our second question, our case worker said that there is no need to update our medical paperwork right now. She said we can wait until closer to May and do all of our updates at one time. Of course our case worker's email made our brain wheels start turning and analyzing as always! This sounds so obvious, but our conclusions to her email went two directions: 1) There is no need to update our paperwork yet because we won't need to, meaning we might have a placement before May. 2) We still have a long time to wait because we will need to go ahead and update paperwork in May.
Our case worker email response was actually quite short and didn't contain too much information, so please do not take our two conclusions as facts. Those conclusions are merely our speculations of a highly anticipated event in our lives! Ultimately, only God knows the exact time of our placement. In His perfect timing He will allow us to meet our future child. We will trust in the power of His timing while we wait.
